Most people try to change their life by changing their goals. But a goal is what you want — a standard is what you live by. Your life reflects your standards far more than your goals.

You may have a goal to get healthier, but if your standard allows poor sleep, poor food, and no movement, your body reflects the standard. Your goals reveal your desires. Your standards reveal your identity.

That's why Day 2 is about identity. You have to stop acting like the version of yourself that built the life you no longer want.

Identity creates behavior. Behavior creates results. Results reinforce identity. To change your life, you interrupt the cycle — by making choices that create evidence for your new identity.
